The Sun Runner
This is a model solar/dish Stirling.This model was originally developed by Solar Engines, which is now a division of PM Research of Wellsville, New York ( http://www.pmresearchinc.com ). The engine has a 3/4 inch bore cylinder and a 3 1/2 inch in diameter flywheel. The sun is focused on the hot cap by means of an 18 inch diameter parabolic mirror, made of polished aluminum. The engine can be attached to a standard camera tripod and when used in strong sunlight will run at approx 2000 rpm.
